Dr Fischer graduated from McGill University with honors in 1976 with a Bachelor of Science degree, majoring in Genetics. She then graduated from McGill Dental School in 1980. Immediately following graduation, Dr Fischer completed an invaluable one year residency at the Montreal Children's Hospital where the primary focus was working with fearful kids.
Following this, Dr Fischer opened the Lasalle Dental Center, located at 8463 Newman Boulevard and today, more than 25 years later, her patients for both Family Dentistry and Aesthetic and Cosmetic Dentistry, come to her from all over Montreal and even some from all over the world.
Dr Alyce Fischer brings to her practice a high-energy level, a passion and enthusiasm for her patients' dental health and well being, and a total commitment to continuing education and training that far exceeds the basics of general dentistry.
Dr Fischer has attended the world-renowned Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies (LVI) - the epicenter of cutting edge dentistry. She found that LVI teaches the most advanced procedures and techniques including the "Extreme Makeover" smiles that have become so popular.
She has completed several advanced education courses at LVI focusing on state-of-the-art aesthetic, restorative, and TMJ (jaw joint) techniques. These progressive techniques have elevated the standards for cosmetic and restorative dentistry.
After obtaining, in 2011, his doctorate in dentistry at the University of Montreal, Dr. Tassé completed two years in multidisciplinary residency; one at the Montefiore Medical Center and the other at the New York Presbyterian Hospital at Columbia University in New York. He then completed a one-year internship in the department of oral and maxillofacial surgery at the Woodhull Medical and Mental Health Center affiliated with New York University.
During his three years of residence in New York, Dr. Tassé provided general dental care in a hospital environment to a clientele suffering from serious health problems. He also developed his expertise in oral surgery, both for the extraction of wisdom teeth and for the placement of implants.
In addition, Dr Tassé has completed anesthesia training there, which allows him to offer his clients intravenous sedation treatments.
Doctor Tassé is passionate about subjects surrounding surgery, implantology and dentistry under sedation (intravenous and oral). He is a lecturer and trainer at the Multidisciplinary Dental Academy where he teaches conscious sedation (nitrous oxide) and oral sedation to dentists and their staff.
Dr Tassé is a member of the Quebec Order of Dentists and a member of the Quebec Association of Dental Surgeons.
In his spare time, he likes to escape in nature, both for fishing and for surfing!
Dr. Andre was born and raised in Venezuela. Due to the unfortunate economic and political situation of the country, at the age of 18, she immigrated with her family to Canada in search for a better future. It is here that Dr. Andre was able to pursue one of her greatest passions: Dentistry. This passion started when she was a child, after visiting her first dental office in Venezuela, which led her to obtain her dental degree at McGill University's Faculty of Dentistry. After graduation, Dr. Andre decided to broaden her knowledge and moved to Seattle to do a one-year long multidisciplinary residency in an Advance Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) program in a community health center. There, she cared for patients from many different backgrounds and cultures, as well nurtured her skills in all aspects of dentistry and developed a passion for pediatric dentistry and prosthodontics.
Dr. Andre is very passionate about understanding her patients' dental needs and working with them towards achieving their vision of a healthy and esthetic smile. Her attentiveness, patience and finesse with details allow her to provide the desired care to her patients. In her free time, she enjoys travelling the world, exploring new cultures, experiencing the diversity of the culinary world, and spending time with her family and friends. Dr Andre is a member of the Quebec Order of Dentists and a member of the Quebec Association of Dental Surgeons.
As the leader of the oral health care team, your dentist works closely with the dental hygienist, the dental assistant and the dental office staff to keep you and your mouth healthy. Each member plays an important role on the oral health care team. They are dedicated to providing you with the best possible dental care.
